Treviso Scene 2
This is another scene from the short film Treviso, shot in 2003 in Italy. The footage was standard definition PAL video. I handled this project in Final Cut Studio using Final Cut to edit and Soundtrack to clean up some of the background noise and other ambient noise issues. Color correction was handled in the Color application. For this output, I ran the master copy through Adobe Media Encoder CS5 in order to get the highest quality H.264 compression possible.
Treviso Scene 1
This is the opening scene from the short film Treviso, which was shot in 2003 in Italy. The footage was standard definition PAL video. Highway 49 Concept Animation
This is a concept animation I did for Highway 49 Productions, a Northern California production company that sadly no longer exists. It was done in After Effects. The background is a still photo that was cut into layers and arranged in 3D space. I added some color correction using Magic Bullet Mojo and lens flares using the Optical Flares plug-in. The Highway 49 Productions logo was created in Photoshop.
Catherine
I created this clip using some footage I’ve been editing. It started off as a goof, but may wind up being part of a sizzle reel for the film. The footage itself is PAL Anamorphic, the composite was done in After Effects and the final output was handled in Media Encoder.
Binary
Journey into the heart of your computer and explore the binary universe. This animation takes you there, utilizing the Trapcode plug-ins Particular and Form to create a universe of binary particles flying through cyberspace.

Meteor Reverse Shot
This is a shot I created for a short film set in Italy. The shot was created in After Effects using 2D still photos and 3D animated elements.
This is a PAL widescreen, standard definition composition, so it will look a little fuzzy if you choose to watch it in Full Screen mode.
Meteor Composite Breakdown
In this quick effect breakdown, I’ll take a look at how the “Meteor Reverse Shot” was constructed and composited. (Please note that I forgot to mention that the camera shake is created by using wiggle expressions for position and rotation on the Null Object which is attached the camera.)

Summer Bumper
Summer is almost here, and it’s a great time to theme your show promos accordingly. This is a 5 second bumper that I designed and animated using After Effects and Trapcode’s Particular, 3D Stroke, and Shine plug-ins.

Energy Drink
This is an older project from my early days using After Effects. I used two instances of the Mr. Mercury plug-in to create the can animation. I used Trapcode’s Particular plug-in to create the particle system and used the can as a layer emitter to generate the particles. I created a simple 3D environment using still images and added a camera with a wiggle expression to create a floating camera effect.

Smokey Image Reveal, Part 2
In this segment, we’ll turn the particle system into smoke and render out the final effect for use as a Luma Matte.
